Hooray! Here it is! The first sneak peak at my new picture book! It is bright, it is emotional, and I am so very proud of it. I want to hug it all day!!

At the beginning of this year I finished work on my new picture book written by author John Bell. This book was a little different for both of us, as we worked on the idea for The Wattle Tree together from initial idea.
Hachette enthusiastically embraced the project, and we were lucky enough to work with two of the best editors (Jon Appleton and Kate Ballard) on cultivating the story into what it now is.

Over the next several weeks I will be writing several posts about the process we went though to create The Wattle Tree, so please come back soon!
